Hi,
Well, I thought it would be fun to join another breed group although it wasn't a "breeders" group or even a show group since Jake is not from a breeder or a show Chi. He was an abandoned pup when people moved away leaving their dogs for the neighbors to take care of. We believe he is Chi/fox terrier mix. He sure has been a great companion for those whom have been in my care and he loves to wash cocker eyes.
It's funny how many differing opinions there are out there, There are those who rescue multiple dogs and breeds and shake their fist at the breeders.... there are people have have Mo and Polly and let them mate because they don't want to be bothered with sp/nt, there are those who do it on purpose to make cool names and charge for them, there are those who have a breed or multiple breeds and just breed them to profit and then there are those who take their breed seriously, do everything possible to ensure the future health of that breed and breed for a specific purpose in mind other than what kind of money they will bring. To me, if every breeder were like that, we would not have the problems we have but...it is a free country and commerce is commerce. There are more and more concienceless people destroying the very fabric of descency and then you get extremist who are very passionate about their goals regardless of who they hurt. The extreme animal rights activist, the extreme religious sects, the extreme left wing and right wing...what is wrong with everything in moderation? How can anyone even THINK that we are an evolved species when we repeat our own mistakes generation after generation? No, we need a moral code that can not be found in ourselves but the higher power that IS.
Now then, I did find some great holistic pet sites that sounded VERY interesting and informative. I will not worry about list king/queens who feel that their opionions are the only ones that are right. How can anyone know the difference if they are closed to the debate?
Hope you are all well and your lovely companions are happy and healthy!
