Entry for January 9, 2008

Well, I took some cute pictures of the puppies playing in the kitchen but haven't gotten a chance to download them yet.

I am working on trying to find other breeders, particularly cocker breeders who have been feeding gluten free feeds for 3 or more generations.   I have heard of one so far but haven't had much luck in contacting her.   Since most metobolic disorders are in all canines, I will look for holistic breeders in general.    I would really like to keep a clientel who will continue to only take the holistic approach for the life of their dogs.   I am this passionate about future health of this breed.  I just wish I were independently wealthy to explore all avenues with the ability to use a lab facility to document the progress.    Guess I can only do what I can do.  At this point, I am unable to continue showing the dogs since focusing on the health aspects is an expense comparable to showing dogs if I show them myself, and then some (Hiring Handlers can be costly at an avg. of 1,500.00 a month which is definitely a lot more than I make in a month taking care of 2 people LOL).  Now, I have a couple more rescues coming in, providing the breeder isn't found on one of them.  Otherwise, I will have the one.   I hope all works out for them all.

I'll get pictures up of the puppies soon;0)
