This is just a venting letter so read at your own risk ;0)
Since my husband shattered his hip back in '96, we were doing ok at first but, there were so many things that needed fixing, needed replaced, etc, etc, that we took out more loans, then financed the house that had been paid for. Now it is like living in quicksand. You try to make ends meet but no matter how you try to get ahead, you just never do. I tried to run a dump truck business with my oldest step son but it was too expensive and the truck is old and needed too many repairs. The paper route, which my husband tries to help out with, is too painful on his hip and back for any extended driving so I am wearing myself out trying to do that, cook and clean for 3 people, take care of multiple, high maintainance dogs and deer. I tried to look into buying a semi tractor trailer since Dan jr is such a good driver and it would be a business that could get Dan off of disability but even that seems to fall through. So how does one get ahead? Even if I gave all the dogs and deer away (which are a very large expense), we still have the basement repair loan, the water and well repair loan, the health, auto and farm insurance. Pretty sizable utility bills but in the mean time, my pay for caring for 2 people goes down and my husband's pain goes up with lowered abilities. I am thankful that Dale can help Dan outside the house.
I sometimes feel like I am the glue that is holding us together but no, God does that doesn't He? aaahhhh, I feel better already;0)
