Entry for February 17, 2008
photo

Sure do miss being able to upload pictures. I manage to get one or two sometimes but most times...NOT!

This was sent by one of my doggy friends.  She has a Dillon/Phoebe daughter by the name of "Faith" who entered her first show in Rally this weekend.  By all accounts, she did very well her first time out and got her 1st leg in Novice A with a score of 98 and 3rd in a class of 16.

Her boy, Chaz, was an outstanding score of a perfect

100 and 1st place!! in Novice'B'  and took the class

by .12 of a second!

Congratulations on a job well done Laurie. I am so proud.

I have been very busy making doggy beds.  I bought the faux sheepskin by the yard and figured out I could make many more beds than what I could buy outright.  They aren't bolstered but they are plush and work great as crate pads and kennel blankets.

For those who are looking for updates on the litter of 9, they are doing better. Still don't think it was ringworm as it hasn't affected anyone or anything other than the puppies themselves so they have come out of quaranteen to play and interact.  It almost looks more like staff infection.  Either one could have been hanging around since Dale had both when he came home from the hospital with his body cast.     They will probably be ready to go by the end of March where they will be around 15-16 weeks when their spots have completely grown in.  The dark buff girl and one black boy are pretty close as they have healed up with no signs of other spots forming.  Very weird.  Never seen anything like it and hope to never again as these guys are sure eating up the food like crazy.  I hope I will be able to get by this month with 6 40# bags but I am down to 2 so I don't think I am going to make it and without selling any puppies this month, buying more is going to be a bit difficult since my credit cards are no longer an option ;0(

Ya better keep us in your prayers and thank you!

The up side is, my litter that was co-bred with a lady in Az (dam's owner), had 4 puppies the other day.  2 boys and 2 girls.  2 are definitely sable, the other two are either going to stay black/tan or come in sable as they are very dark at this point.   All are doing great!
