Isn't it amazing that in the midst of sadness, something so beautiful such as birth can bring such a sweetness to you heart?

This is Sally, the grandma of my little fawn, Kallie who sadly died in my arms last month when we discovered too late that she had a naval infection.      She just gave birth to 2 buck fawns on Tues.   They seem to be doing ok although one is very small and has a little trouble with his back leg.  We will watch him closely to make sure we don't have to pull him to bottle feed if he gets too weak.

Since my friend, Chuck died, I took in his two dogs and his family actually asked for donations to me in memory of Chuck.  Now I really didn't think people would think it a worthy cause but I did get $20.00 from a very nice lady to which I will be able to get one of the dog's heartworm check.  I really need to get them on heartworm but my own haven't been checked yet this year.  I am hoping to get it done soon.

Since losing Joy and the possibility of a litter, I think God "had my back" so to speak.  I had wanted to breed Phoebe to a beautiful buff champion boy but I got her there too late.  Well, a few days prior, when she was out running the yard, I went in to feed them and found her in Dillon's run.  How she got in there from the outside I haven't a clue but, it appears he bred her, the sneaky little varmints, but, the blessing is that since it costs a lot to run a kennel (just think of how much your ONE dog costs and times it by 20), it is necessary for the puppies but oh the fun in doing it and then hearing how much pleasure they give families.

One day at a time....that's all I can do, one day at a time....
