Hello,

Can you believe that summer is coming to a close?  I can still picture all the snow and the paper route.  All those weekend nights driving the 4 wheel drive and having to spend $40 each night to drive it.   What a season!

Tonight, I went to pick up my grandson and I happen to pass a home that had one of my Loreal/Boomer puppies.  He was my favorite from the litter but I hadn't seen nor heard from them since giving him a haircut last summer.  I stopped to enquire only to learn that he had been killed in the road;0(  I did wonder about that as they did not have a fence and I don't believe they had a chain either.   I was very sad to learn this.  He was GORGEOUS!  I almost didn't sell him but at the time, I was after a girl and he had a bit of a low tail set so I sold him to this family.    Thing happen I guess.  It sure did to me.

Talking about the road, I have two rescues who are getting out of the fence.  We got it fixed but the smaller one is still finding a place and we can't figure out where.  He may even be climbing the fence but if this is the case, there won't be anyway to keep him from it unless we string a hot wire to the bottom.  I hate to do that but....I guess it's better than scraping him off of the highway and I certainly don't want to relive that nightmare.  He happens to be a half brother to the girl I lost.
