I have to write about a happy ending that I am so thankful for.

I got a call from the Humane Society on Thurs.  The girl said that someone had brought a little black female cocker spaniel in and they tracked her microchip to me.   The birthdate they had from a vet record didn't match any records I had but I had an inkling on who it might possibly be since I knew that they had changed her name to Lady.   As I got down there and she brought this tiny, shaggy minute looking cocker, I almost didn't recognize as she was so thin, I realized that it was in deed my Dena.  She is a Milcah daughter from the breeding I had sent her up to Nova Scotia to breed to one of Jean's beautiful black boys.   She was the girl I kept but she never did get very big so I had her spayed and sent her off to a home of an elderly couple who's kids have another beloved cocker kid named "Petey".

Apparently, they were unable to cope and so Dena ended up where Petey lived but then for some reason, they gave her to someone else to which Dena's trip to the humane society came from.  The complaint was that they had too many dogs.

Needless to say, Dena is glad to be home and we are thankful that her microchip was her saving grace.
